Happy International Mud Day!

May your day be messy, dirty, and muddy and fill with play.

The Scottish government took a stand for play recently through their publication: Play Strategy for Scotland: Our Vision. It’s a great little piece that talks about the importance of play and why and how it should be encourage in Scotland.

Part of their advocacy includes support of the 31st amendment of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child

It’s a really easy (infographic) read, with great informational bits. Governments can play a huge role in supporting initiatives like this!

How awesome does this sound?

"From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. head on over to the western edge of the Gaslamp Quarter to see The New Children’s Museum grounds transformed into a kids-of-all-ages creative playground for Mass Creativity Day, a free event focused on creating “community through art”.

What started as a series of free artist-led workshops held all over San Diego County in April and May culminates into this “all-day celebration of art and creativity”.

The myriad of hands-on activities will feature many different genres of art - music, drawing & illustration, dance, painting on a variety of mediums, millinery, and many more.”

We will definitely be there!
